The Calvary Road , by Roy Hession, very simply outlines personal revival sanctification through being filled with the Holy Spirit.
As it says in 2 Thess. In this little book, the process of sanctification, through surrendering all, is simply and clearly revealed for those who are willing to seek the Lord with all their heart. This is not another self help book but a most humbling revelation of the sin we fail or refuse to see and which keeps us from an intimate walk with Jesus. This book reveals a life changing principle which, together with much prayer , can and will bring a Christian into a very close walk with our Lord, if it is diligently applied on a daily basis.

However, unless sin is effectively dealt with a Christian will live a defeated, rather than victorious life. Some excerpts from the book I invited them to come as speakers, because I had heard that they had been experiencing Revival in their field for a number of years, and I was interested in Revival.
What they had to say was very different from much of what I had associated with Revival. It was very simple and very quiet I was stumbled by the simplicity of the message, or rather the simplicity of what I had to do to be revived and filled with the Spirit. It is the constant experience of the simplest Christian who "walks in the light," but I saw that walking in a the light means an altogether new sensitiveness to sin, a calling things by their proper name of sin, such as pride, hardness, doubt, fear, self pity, which are often passed over as merely human reaction.
It means a readiness to "break" and confess at the feet of Him who was broken for us, for the Blood does not cleanse excuses, but always cleanses sin, confessed as sin: then revival is just the daily experience of a soul full of Jesus and running over To download a book, right click on the blue, underlined link then select 'save target as Click on the following link for Roy Hession's Testimony. Roy Hession — was a British evangelist and author. Hession was born in London in He was educated at Aldenham School where his introduction to religion led him to expect "anything but boredom" from God. He accepted Jesus in while on a Christian holiday camp, largely through the witness of a cousin who was a navy officer. After working for Barings , the merchant bank, for ten years, he committed himself to full-time preaching and became one of the most effective Christian evangelists in post- World War II Britain, especially among young people. His understanding of the Christian life underwent a radical change in following a conference that he had arranged to which he invited members of the East African Revival Movement. He was very much influenced by their strong emphasis on a personal implementation of the basics of the Christian faith, in particular the healing powers of openness and repentance.
